Conception, construction and start-up. The plant has been built in 1987 for the processing of 55 000 ton/y of Amiens municipal solid waste. In 1996, the treatment capacity was extended to 85 000 ton/y by the supply of waste from other Amiens’ districts’ municipalities with the construction of an additional digester. A mechanical sorting unit allows for the separation of the organic fraction from MSW. Start-up date : 1988
